Barcelona City Council plans to regulate the possibility of prohibiting or limiting temporary rentals by means of an urban planning amendment
Our Administrative and Urban Planning Department has prepared an analysis of the amendment to the General Metropolitan Plan of Barcelona, which regulates the use of housing in the municipality of Barcelona
The purpose of this amendment is to preserve the use of housing as a usual and permanent residence, enabling Barcelona City Council to approve derived planning instruments and municipal ordinances that prohibit or limit other types of housing use, such as temporary housing or second homes.
