Ocean Ecostructures closes funding to drive its international expansion

Ocean Ecostructures, a company that specialises in marine biodiversity regeneration through infrastructure renaturalisation technology, has closed a funding round for the international expansion of its technology

The new funds will enable the company to roll out a network of subsidiaries, first in the Middle East and in a later stage in other regions. The goal is to increase its current size tenfold and reach 3,000 installed reefs by 2027.

The biomimetic reefs, monitored by underwater drones and artificial intelligence, enable the recovery of flora and fauna in ports and maritime infrastructure.

A team led by David Villa and Pablo Miró advised Ocean Ecostructures on this transaction.
