Pharmacelera, a company that applies quantum mechanics and artificial intelligence to the discovery of new pharmaceutical drugs, has closed a EUR 6M funding round aimed at accelerating its expansion in the United States and strengthening the development of its technology platform
The funding will enable the company to set up a team in the United States, a strategic step towards consolidating its market presence and further strengthening its relationship with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the country, which have already validated the impact of its technology.
The company is transforming the field by identifying highly novel candidates for drugs with greater therapeutic potential through a discovery process that is faster than traditional methods based solely on AI.
A team led by David Villa and Carlos Tejera advised Pharmacelera on this transaction.
