Spanish Royal Decree 88/2026, of 11 February, approving the General Regulations on the supply, commercialisation, and aggregation of electrical energy
Our Energy Area has prepared an analysis of Spanish Royal Decree 88/2026 (Real Decreto 88/2026, de 11 de febrero, por el que se aprueba el Reglamento general de suministro, comercialización y agregación de energía eléctrica), which updates the current regulations on supply, which in many respects have become obsolete, and includes new provisions necessary to adapt to the current supply context and the European regulatory framework
In addition, it addresses the unification of much of the regulatory dispersion currently in force in relation to the contracting and supply of electricity, although certain provisions would still remain in force in their previous texts.
