Experience

With twenty years of experience, Alfonso has extensive expertise in civil and commercial litigation, as well as in arbitration, out-of-court negotiation, and bankruptcy law. He stands out for his advice in corporate disputes, national and international litigation and arbitration arising from commercial contracts, transport, franchising, agency, distribution, unfair competition, insurance, and rights in rem, among others, as well as in inheritance disputes.

He has extensive experience in the application of foreign law before Spanish courts, as well as in the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and awards in Spain and vice versa. He has extensive knowledge of Catalan “foral” (territorial) civil law in contractual, property, and inheritance matters. He has participated in arbitration proceedings before various arbitral and ad hoc institutions (both domestic and international). He has acted as arbitrator appointed by the Barcelona Arbitration Court (Tribunal Arbitral de Barcelona).

Prior to his incorporation in RCD, Alfonso developed his career at Cuatrecasas.
