Enerside acquires 100% of its stake in its subsidiary in Italy and strengthens its capital with Alternative Green Energy
Enerside Energy, a company that specialises in solar photovoltaic energy, has signed an agreement with Alternative Green Energy (AGE) to acquire 44% of the capital of the company they created in 2023 to develop projects in Italy
Enerside owned 56% of the shared company and will now control 100% of the entity, which has a portfolio of 1.2 GW of agri-photovoltaic projects and 11.2 GW of battery storage systems in Sardinia, Sicily and various locations in central and southern Italy.
The purchase of the Italian subsidiary will be financed through a non-cash capital increase of EUR 24M, which will make AGE the main shareholder in Enerside.
A team led by Javier Olmos and Sara Rafecas advised Enerside on this transaction.
