Exoticca signs an EUR 25M financing agreement to invest in technology and fuel its expansion
Exoticca, a TravelTech company that specialises in the digitalisation of large-scale tourist trips, has closed a new EUR 25M financing agreement with BBVA Spark. This transaction complements a recent EUR 60M investment round, bringing the total new funds raised to EUR 85M
This investment will be used to enhance the technology of Exoticca, in particular, artificial intelligence and machine learning applied to the personalisation of trips, price optimisation, and automation in the creation of complex itineraries. In addition, after consolidating its success in the United States, the digital travel agency is looking to expand into Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, and Costa Rica.
A team led by David Villa and Pablo Miró advised Exoticca on both transactions.
