Sycai Medical closes an investment round to improve the early diagnosis of abdominal cancer
Sycai Medical, a technology start-up that works to improve healthcare through artificial vision and big data, has closed an investment round with the aim of promoting the development and deployment of its AI-based digital medical device, which allows for the early detection of cancer and premalignant lesions in the abdomen from medical images without the need for invasive tests
The new funds will be used to launch the medical device, which has already been approved in Europe, to extend the detection of early cancer and premalignant lesions to the liver and kidney, and to validate the product in the United States to obtain FDA approval.
A team led by David Villa and Júlia Rousaud advised Sycai Medical on this transaction.
