RCD Espanyol has completed its capital increase of 75 million euros. Rousaud Costas Duran has advised Barcelona-based club on the operation, approved at the last General Shareholders' Meeting on June 30.

The RCD Espanyol has completed its capital increase worth 75 million euros. Rousaud Costas Duran, law firm of reference in comprehensive legal advice, has advised the Barcelona club in this operation, which was approved at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders held on June 30 at the Fira de Cornellà.

At the meeting, the club presented updated financial statements, which have gone through a profound renovation since the arrival of Rastar Group as a shareholder of RCD Espanyol last January. Adolf Rousaud, managing partner of Rousaud Costas Duran and member of the board of RCD Espanyol, provided an analysis of the club’s figures, noting that the club had received a capital injection of 136.8 million euros from January to date, mainly for the restructuring of assets and the purchase of shares.

The capital increase confirms Rastar Group’s commitment to RCD Espanyol, which began in early 2016 when it acquired control of 54% of the share capital of the club, in a strategic project that the Chinese brand wants to expand through synergies with the television and entertainment industry.
